The Zorin OS Team has released Zorin OS 5.2 Educational Lite, the lightweight version of our operating system designed for Windows users using old and low-spec computers for educational purposes. This release of Zorin OS Educational Lite is based on Lubuntu 11.04 and uses the LXDE desktop environment. Zorin OS 5.2 Educational Lite features many updates to Zorin OS 5 Educational Lite including security updates, upgraded programs, and an updated icon theme. Zorin OS 5.2 Educational Lite includes dozens of educational programs for primary, secondary and tertiary education students.

I have tried extensively several distros as I could not live with Unity, by a chance, I have found Zorin 5.2 and it works perfectly out of the box. I admit, the default look is not particularly eye pleasing but just in minutes I was able to change the look, even replace the start button that has a few choices available. Very Fast!
