Celebrating 5 years of Zorin OS

This day five years ago Zorin OS 1.0 was born and released to the world. This was the release which proved the goal behind Zorin OS, that it was possible to create an operating system that was robust, secure and enjoyable to use without requiring you to face the friction of moving away from the interface you know. Lots of hard work and eight releases later, Zorin OS has proved itself to being the ideal system for the everyday user and is now among the most popular operating systems in the world.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you, the community of millions, for this incredible journey. You have helped us to grow and improve Zorin OS by spreading the word and assisting with the development process of every release. It’s been an honour having you by our side over these years and we cannot thank you enough!

When we started the Zorin OS project over half a decade ago we couldn’t imagine that Zorin OS would be where it is today. We hope that the same will be true for the next five years.
