Installing Zorin 9 Premium (32bit) over Zorin 9 Core (32bit)

I've had Zorin 9 installed for about two weeks and have everything installed and customized (except my GT240...see other post)...
I'd like to install Zorin 9 Premium as an upgrade mostly for the active desktop but since I'm a NOOB to Linux I'm not sure if this
is possible without losing all my customizations I've already done (Programs, Users, Samba setup, etc.)...
Can someone advise if I can install Zorin 9 32bit PREMIUM over the top of Zorin 9 32bit CORE without losing all the customizations and already installed programs? If so is there a guide somewhere to follow? Thanks.

To be frank I am not sure whether this is possible or not - my preferred method is just to back up my entire /home folder and install afresh.

Take a look at this article, but I stress NO GUARANTEES!
