I'm new to Zorin. I accidently installed Zorin over windows 7 instead of a usb drive. Is there a way to get windows 7 back?

I believe there is a way using 'Test Disk' that is on the live DVD of Zorin - but never used this method - please wait for madvinegar on this one as I believe he has done this before?

Testdisk is used to get back lost/deleted files.

If you have erased windows, you will have to re-install them.

Thank you madvinegar. I did not erase the files. The drive is partitioned. I'm struggling to find a way to remove the grub loader or any means to boot into windows.

HI, to remove GRUB, if you have a Windows 7 disc (or a system repair disc), boot with that, and select the 'repair existing Windows installation' option. Then when you get to advanced options, choose the cmd prompt, change from the directory of the Windows 7 disc to your Windows C:/ directory:

Code:
cd .. C:/

and then enter:

Code:
bootrec.exe /FixBoot

and

Code:
bootec.exe /FixMbr

This should get you back to a Windows Boot - then to create a dual boot:
