OK, created my latest wallpaper from many pictures taken of the Eclipse on Friday last week - put modified picture on desktop, installed updates, rebooted - Zorin basic blue background (swirling bubbles) at login - moved picture into Pictures folder - then right-clicked desktop to change background - from drop-down selected new picture from Pictures folder - no problem - new wallpaper at login with a brief 'flash' of Zorin wall before new wallpaper at login!
