Full disk encryption?

Greetings,

Just a quick question: does Zorin OS 10 support full disk encryption during installation (à la Ubuntu) in any way? I have a very limited data cap so I would like a confirmation before I download the ISO and install this OS.

If not, what would you guys suggest? Is there some software I can use in Zorin OS, or would it be simpler to use another distro?

Thank you very much and have a nice day!

Hi, you can encrypt AFTER installation - try and do it during install you could end up with a broken system!

Zorin is built on Ubuntu so follow their guide here:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/FullD ... ptionHowto

Just be warned that if your encrypted disk ever fails you can say goodbye to all your data - one reason why I DON'T encrypt but back data up to an external drive. ;) :D

I agree that your solution is much simpler! Unfortunately the data I will be dealing with is very sensitive, so yes... I will make sure my backups are frequent (and encrypted) :)

Thank you very much for your reply, it is much appreciated!
