grub error with Zorin OS, but not Ubuntu

Greetings,

I am trying to install Zorin OS 10 64-bit on an Asus ZenBook through a USB drive. For some reason, it always ends up with a grub install error (can't install into /target/), followed by an installer crash. What I find the most strange is that from at least 12.10, every version of Ubuntu I have tried installing (through the exact same process & with the same settings) works perfectly fine.

The "Try without installing" option works as expected.
Also, Linux Mint 17.2 results in the same crash as Zorin does.

Thank you very much for your help!

Hi, First some questions:

1. What platform did you download the iso to? (Windows/Flavour of Linux)

2. What browser?

3. Did you use any Download Accelerator Managers.

4. Did you check the md5sum of the iso before adding to USB

5. What USB application did you use?

Windows 7-64, Chrome, no DAM, verified the MD5 with HxD, and I tried many applications to create the USB disk (most notably UNetbootin, Rufus and LinuxLive USB Creator)...
