Using the terminal
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:atareao/atareao
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install my-weather-indicator

Ok, to remove, again use the terminal:

Code:
sudo apt-get purge my-weather-indicator

Then go into Software Updater (Menu | System Tools | Administration) launch it, click on the 'Settings' button and get to the tab that lists all the PPA's (repos) and delete that ppa you quoted.

:D

Hi, my preference is to install Cairo-Dock DE - this adds another option to the cog - here is mine:

download/file.php?id=3356&mode=view

It is a Cairo-Dock DE add-on - once you install Cairo-Dock, right click the panel, select Cairo-Dock | configuration - then go to the 'Add-ons' tab and search for weather - you don't have to have it on the desktop - it can be on the panel I now have the digital clock in the blank bit:

download/file.php?id=3448&mode=view

Hope this helps! ;)

Looks good on your screen. The weather does not work for me since i live in a small town in canada.

There is taskbar on the bottom of the screen, how to turn this one off?
I tried to send you a screenshot but could not figure that out

Hi, are you using the 'Gnome' look?

How to post a screenshot here:

Hi, This is what you need to do:

1. Open a terminal (Ctrl+ Alt+ T) and enter:

Code:
sudo apt-get install dconf-tools

This will install 'dconf Editor' under System Tools.

Launch it and on the arrowheads pointing to the right click on the one next to 'org' in the left pane - the path you need to get to is:

org | gnome | gnome-panel | layout:

dconf Editor_001.png

Notice the line I have highlighted - originally this was ['top-panel-0','bottom-panel-0] - change it to ['top-panel-0'] - and you are sorted! ;)

Yea I did but it would not give weather to my location (Gold Bridge BC Canada)

When you installed Zorin and it shows the world map - did you try entering Gold Bridge instead of whatever shows in your TimeZone? I reckon that is crucial to get any weather app to work but I am guessing! :D

Hi, Having looked at Bing Maps, I guess the nearest town to you that has a weather ID is Pemberton - CAXX0353

Is there is a way to have different wallpaper on each desktop?

I think it depends on what is available in compiz/utility - just for future ref, can you please start a new thread - this one is just for the weather applet query which I am still looling at. ;)
