gaming on zorin os ultimate

hello i plan on using zorin os ultimate for the purpose of gaming and workloads basically multi media and creation i want to know can it do this?

like how well is zorin with gaming compared to windows and how well would zorin run with vulkan.api installed compared to windows?

The question of using Zorin OS as a multimedia and creation platform is dependent on what you want to achieve and in particular if you are looking for Windows applications to run natively under GNU/Linux using Wine (= Wine is no emulator - because it uses windows dynamic link libraries - .dll's).

This is primarily down to whether software houses wish to make a GNU/Linux application. In respect of Gaming, Steam has come a long way - I thin my 64-bit Ultimate came with Steam but I removed it.

well generally i was hoping to run anything windows can like windows this includes games for gaming

Well you can run virtual machine on top for games that dont run on wrappers.

but doesnt virtual machines take alot of cpu power and is slow?

There is always steam - and don't blame GNU/Linux - like I said before, lobby the software houses not GNU/Linux. ;) :D

Yes and no. You have to have cores to run vm:s but the performance is almost native..
