Not a mayor problem, but until recently I saw the Z of the Zorin logo while the computer was booting. Now it has changed to an ASCII "Zorin OS" with dots underneath. How come? It coincided with the switch to the NVIDIA driver. Is that the reason?

What's the technical background of this and is there a way to have both, a nice looking boot and the NVIDIA driver?

Accodring to this it should be possible to have both:

I have had other issues with nVidia, not just the Plymouth element - it's hardly worth the hassle. Other issues relate to colour issues in Firefox/YouTube and no difference turning off hardware acceleration. I much prefer the GNU/Linux drivers to proprietary blobs. ;) :D

I have NVIDIA drivers and a ok looking boot in LinuxMint. It should be possible with ZorinOS too, but as it's not super important, I'll leave it there.
