Hi, Since I upgraded from Zorin 10 to !2, I cannot see the other PCs (Win 10 and Win7) on my home network.

I have installed smb4k, and changd the workgroup name to Homgroup in smb.cnf (even editing that file was a bit of a palave with authorisations etc)
smb4k shows HOME, which contains my router
LIZHOME which disappears when I click on it, and
WORKGROUP. When I click on that, KDE wallet service opens up (which I also installed at some point in this effort) an I enter the password for that.
It rthen asks for a userid and password for BEAST (which is what I called the win 10 m/c I created the homegroup on)
Whenever I try to put in the homegroup password, smb4k crashes or Zorin experiences and internal error

Has anyone had any luck?
Any pre-reqs I need to install?

I'd appreciate any pointers,

Liz

I would search synaptic for smb and CIFS. I read somewhere that you can only share folders not the PC icons per second. Back later.
