Wrong panel position in a dual monitor setup

Hi everyone,
I use zorin on my HP ProBook G4 and I have external monitor connected via HDMI. I have set the external monitor as the main screen, and the panel position to "Automatic". However the panel would always appear on the laptop screen. I would expect that the panel would either change it's position to the primary display or clone itself on the both screens (this is how Windows 10 treats extended desktop for instance.

Also when I change the panel output to Monitor 2, and then turn off my pc and start up the laptop without the external screen the panel will not be visible. When I go to panel settings the Output is set to "monitor-1" which makes it invisible. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

I am using Zorin 12.2

This is my first post here, so I want to thank you for Zorin. Tried Fedora but was too tough for me, since I am new linux user.

Thank you
Marek

Hi, see if you can install arandr (gui for xrandr, which you may need to install):

Thanks for reply Swarfendor437, I have installed Arandr but that just gives me screen settings that I already have in Zorin desktop settings. Any idea how to use it to solve the problem with the Panel?

Did some more delving - take a look here:

and I think there might be a gnome extension - you will need gnome-tweak-tool installed to do this:
