[SOLVED] Zorin and Ubuntu

Hi everyone, I have a question about my "Update Manager". I have been letting the update manager down load what it says I need for my Zorin OS 5.2 program, and so far everything has been going great. Now at the top of the window for the update manager there is a statement saying download Ubuntu 11.10 upgrade. Should I do this or leave it alone since the update manager has not downloaded it? Thanks Larry :?

Do not download the ubuntu 11.10 upgrade or any other distro upgrade.
Go to update manager>settings and set to "never" the option "show new distribution releases".

Hi chaps,

if you download the full OS; 11.10 or 12.04, you may well have a number of errors as Zorin is modified from the original Ubuntu ISO. If you update to 11.10, it will then ask you to update to 12.04 once 11.10 has finished installing!!.

Please wait for Zorin 6 which will fully compatible with the latest Ubuntu ISO. (12.04)

Regards Wolfman :D

Hi everyone, thanks for the info, and I will leave this alone for a while. This Linux is confusing, it has so many other programs in it so it will work. I sure am doing alot of reading so I can learn more and hopefully stop asking questions. Thanks for the info.
