Problems with graphics in respect of NVIDIA Geforce6150SE

Hello everyone.

I have the NVIDIA Geforce6150SE/nForce430 integrated chipset with I guess I’ve some troubles…

I’ve installed Zorin OS 8 on my desktop PC. I get quick intermittent distorted images on screen when some task involving some relative intensive graphic processes take place, such as when the start menu is loading or when some youtube video is playing on small screen and so on (apparently, this issue is more common on small screen than full one).

I’ve currently updated all the Zorin OS 8 system included its software but the issue persists.

Could you please, help me?

install the nvidia-current package, see this thread:

Make sure you also do a full update:

If you have any problems with a grubby boot or shutdown.

Open Terminal = Ctrl + Alt + t
Remember to > [ Enter " Yes " when asked ]

Then :

Code:

sudo apt-get install grub

Then :

Code:

sudo update-grub

Then :

Code:

sudo reboot

Note : This has always fixed the grubby startup <> shutdown [ issues ] .
That is 98 % of the time !!!!
