Will Zorin 6 work on a first generation macbook air?

I have been happy with the way Zorin 6 has put new life into my old Dell laptops. I have just replaced my 5 year old original 13 inch first generation macbook air with a new 11 inch model -now my old macbook air seems very slow! Could a dual boot with Zorin give it a speed fix? Has anyone installed 6 on a macbook air?

Hi! Just to be certain, before installing you can prepare a live DVD/USB of Zorin 6 and load it in your MacBook air.
Use it for as long as you like just to make sure that everything works,

Thanks I will do that - I was wondering if people had been successful in doing a dual boot full install of either core or ultimate on an old macbook air. I found a few old computers where everything seems to work when I run it live but run into problems with the install. Maybe it is just my inexperience?

I think that for Macs you need a special installer (like a grub menu when booting called "rEFIT") from which you select the OS you want to load.

Unfortunately I am not experienced at all in Mac PCs.
