Quicktime plugin doesn't work

Fresh install of Zorin OS 6.1 Core, booted live from a USB stick. Opened up http://www.panoscan.com//SFSymphony/DaviesCube.mov or http://commodoreevents.com/celebrate.html (look in the bottom right) in Chrome. After granting permission to the Quicktime plugin, it doesn't do anything. Clicking on the plugin display area produces an error - "Location not found".

The panoscan MOV loads in Chrome on Ubuntu but doesn't display anything. The ComodoreEvents page does show some images in the Quicktime area.
