PMs Appear "Stuck" in Outbox

I find the forum Message system awkward to use.

I reply to a PM or create a new PM but they stay in the Outbox even though the initial message says they were sent.

Do the message remain in my Outbox until retieved by the recipient? If not, how do I get the messages on their way?

HI, I am guessing it is a glitch (got 2 PMs from you today - same subject - guess you could not tell if either of them went - I suspect its a php glitch (I am a member of another forum that uses the exact same forum engine (but built VERY differently) and was advised to ignore 4 messages stuck in my inbox! Just guessing - might be worth raising with the Admins (PM zorink as he looks after the forum!) ;)

I went to the Outbox and both are gone - and you got two - my guess is they are cleared after being picked up (just a guess).
