If I am using Zorin, will I automatically get the update to Ubuntu Linux 11.10?

Here is how Ubuntu says you do it, but I'm not sure what affect this has on Zorin.

I might try it later in a VM just for kicks.

No...what will happen is Zorin will do version 6 no doubt which would have Ubuntu 11.10 as it's base...you would have to re-install your system from a new dvd disc iso that would come out when it is ready...

I feel like the "Nancy Reagan of Non-LTS Ubuntu Versions" with my "Just Say NO!!" message.

Dr*gs. Pris*on. Non-LTS.

Just don't do it.

They are all bad for you.

What about Gentoo or LFS? Both of those are about as pure as you can get I think.... If you want a install-and-go setup, then Debian.
