Oreally?

Just wondering as a noobie to Zorin, what to do when latest balenaetcher and latest Zorin lite 15.2 64 bit and Zorin Core 15.2 result in repeated lost files. Have tried Rufus also, won't install ata all with Rufus. Install precheck reports USB as OK and all files present, then fails to install and states files missing. On a newish Lenovo Ideapad S145. UEFI disabled. Windows 10 was running fine until new Microsoft Edge turned rat chewing the wiring, kicks anything not hard wired off the LT. A few commentators on other sites have noted similar problems. Ideas? May go back to Mint at this point, just been a while since i was on open source....

First, before doing anything with the iso's confirm that the SHA sum or md5 sum matches the ones assigned to the image downloaded or you will have corrupt media install and don't use Download Accelerator Mangers - this can corrupt the image.

In the BIOS, as well as UEFI disabled - not really needed to do as Zorin is EFI compliant - want needs disabling on up-to-date BIOS is disable Windows Boot Manager and Fast Boot.

For Windows 10 users also turn off the 'sleep' mode of the hard drive in hidden 'advanced' power settings - this is what makes windows 10 boot quickly and prevents anything else from booting up.

To prepare the HDD: use windows disk manager to shrink C to make way for Zorin - also check with Windows disk manager how many partitions are present under Windows 10 and how many are marked as Primary - if 4 then one of them is going to have to be deleted.

If Windows 10 install is mbr as opposed to GPT then use Matthew Moore's non-conventional method of dual-booting.
