I got a message the other day inviting me to upgrade to Ubuntu 12.10, I certainly wish that I ignored it as it has borked my installation and I had to reinstall, please be warned.

Hi,

in software sources there is a button which says "Notify me of a new Ubuntu version", it should be set to never:

This makes me ask the question then, about your Post install instructions..
I thought it was set to : For long-term support versions

So?

For the Post installs, should this option be set to : Never
and in the Post instructions,
should the items be checked for : Cdrom with Ubuntu 12.04 'Precise Pangolin' or not checked
