Looking for list of Windows apps ported to Linux

Or cross platform apps such as Firefox and Skype. Google Earth I also know but it would be nice to have a full list of common windows apps that either were ported or designed to be cross platform. I'd have thought someone would have been keeping such a list updated. I cannot find such a list anywhere.

I can find a list of GNU equivalents but it's 2 years old. http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/wiki/Lin ... s_software

Thanks Wolfman. Thats not exactly what i'm looking for but it will help.

I guess I need to compile such a list myself since there doesn't seem to be one out there.

Yes, but I'm looking to avoid that as much as possible and only use those tools when when I have no other options. I know tons of stuff was ported or have cross platform versions, it's just a matter of compiling a good list. I have a friend that has so much trouble with windows, i'm cleaning and fixing his PC every two weeks. I'm trying to fill a copy of zorin with all the stuff he's already used to using like the above mentioned apps and apps like Spotify. If I can pull it off and get him to use the system I think he'll be much happier in the long run.
