Zorin OS maintenance

From a few weeks (this January) I'm looking forward Zorin OS 8. I'm in love with this wild beast! 8-)

After learning about the Ubuntu=Zorin support cycle I'm somewhat mad but from my experience I know that Linux is not dangerous if you are using older version. So I will try to stick with Zorin OS 8 for a long time (at least when Windows 9 is released then I will upgrade to Zorin OS 9). If you try to understand why...probably you will see the logic. At all I like version 8.

So my question is: How hard it can be to grab one version and stick with it for years without braking it?

Systems usually only break if you do something you weren't supposed to - if it ain't broke don't fix it - if there is something you don't like, replace it with something else. Basically if you want sustainability then go with LTS for a mainstay, and play with the intermediate releases to see where things are going! So long as you have the freedom to choose then that is what really matters! :D
