Just do the updates and you will pass on to the core edition.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Bah! I should have thought of that sooner. I wasn't really expecting a response. I already burned Zorin OS 8 core on to a blank Rewritable DVD and installed it. Oh well, maybe next time for Zorin OS 9 if I get it.
