Zorin and all Linux OS

I like Zorin and other Linux systems except the brain shattering problems of making any printer work, especially a new printer. i have down loaded the latest drivers from Brother's website so many times that I will just give up and go back to windows. Too bad, i like Zorin.
My Brother's printer is MFC-67110DW and it will not work on Zorin. I get a indication of receiving data and thats it, no printing. The print que shows the print files and says they have completed??? So that's it. I have had the same problems with all the Linux systems i have tried. Only time it worked was for some older printers.

Hi and welcome to Zorin! :D

I can understand your frustration!

Take a look at a post Wolfman made regarding a Printer/Scanner (also brother):

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=6414&p=30513&hilit=Brother+printer#p30513

Then when you think you have got what you need, make sure no printers are showing in 'Printers' (Menu | System Tools | System Settings | Printers) - if there are - remove them.

Next, open a terminal and enter:

Code:
system-config-printer
and add your printer.

Keep us posted! :D
