recording my music

I guess since this is a chat room that it's the place for this question. I've been running Zorin for some time and love it. I am about to start recording some of my own music from my Yamaha piano. Do any of you have a good software program that would do this well? I've looked at a few but really have no idea which ones work well in this application. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Are you intending to use a Microphone or MIDI connection? If Microphone, use Audacity. ;) :D

I'll probably give a shot at the MIDI connection. This is all new to me so I'm doing a lot of experimenting......
