problem with burning iso and copying dvd

I'm trying to burn an image to dvd but whether I copy, or save iso and burn from there, and whatever program I'm using (k3b, brasero, xfburn, etc...) I'm always getting the message that my destination dvd has not enough space. Now I checked my iso and it's about 7Gb. Is this normal? I have no idea what I'm doing wrong here. Can somebody please help me out on this? OS = Zorin9 64bit.

I am wondering if you are burning (copying) the downloaded iso to DVD which could be where you are going wrong - the max iso of Zorin is around 4 Gb. If using Brasero always launch Brasero first then select, burn image to disc - browse to the downloaded iso and select it then choose slowest burn speed then click burn. BUT before we get there did you check the md5 sum against the one Zorin states so that you don't have a corrupt download? Did you download to a GNU/Linux OS? ;) :D
