Trump's executive order ... Internet Censorship.

This from my inbox of last week:

"Bad news. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is moving forward with a White House Executive Order that would lead to massive Internet censorship. They’ve opened an official public comment period, and we have to act fast because the deadline is just a few weeks away.

We’re launching a new campaign to flood the FCC with comments opposing the “Censor the Internet” Executive Order, which would gut Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act and put FCC chairman Ajit Pai in charge of policing online free speech.

Will you chip in to help us stop the “Censor the Internet” Executive Order?

There’s a lot to do. First, we need to rebuild our tool that makes it easy for ordinary people to submit comments to the FCC (their regular comment website is essentially unusable.)

Then our campaigns team will need to get that tool in front of millions of people so we can generate as many comments as possible, as well as media attention and signal boosts from popular musicians and celebrities to keep the issue in the spotlight.

We know how to do this and we know how to do it well. During the net neutrality fight, our tools drove more comments to the FCC than ever before in history. But because we’ve done it before, we also know we need to raise more funds to cover the costs of this campaign.

Please chip in whatever you can—whether it’s $5 or $500—to make sure we can stop the FCC from enacting this Executive Order and keep the Internet free from political censorship.

You might be wondering, will the FCC even listen to our comments? Fair question! The overwhelming majority of comments they received opposed the repeal of net neutrality, and they did it anyway.1

But here’s the deal: this Executive Order is so poorly written—and so blatantly illegal—that even Ajit Pai has signaled that he’s against it.2 But if there aren’t enough comments opposing it, politicians that want to censor the Internet and control the free flow of information will seize on that to push their agenda.

We can’t let that happen, which is why we’re building a tool and launching a campaign to flood the FCC with comments against Internet censorship. Will you chip in to fund this work?

We know these are tough times and not everyone can give right now. If you can’t, don’t worry. We’ll follow up soon with information on how to submit a comment and help sound the alarm. If you’re lucky enough to be in a position to give right now, please stretch as much as you can. This is important!

The stupidity of humanity will never cease to amaze me. American's voted that tyrant into office, you wanted him, you got him, and everything that comes with it. People sign their rights away to officials that they ellect, that take them away. Its absolute lunacy that will never end. Just as people who think the Corona virus isn't a thing, and go traveling around the country with no masks on, hanging around in large groups of people.

The promise of the internet is already dead, so many people simply don't see it. Yeah, I've lived through it, so ya, I know all about the promise of the internet back in the 90's, sure do! The hackers were the first to begin ruining it, them and their hacks, and virus's, spyware, all of that. But then the government had to get involved and ruin it even further. Now the internet is one of the biggest cesspool's of fowl smelling shitucky, in our entire humanity.

The reason all the comments from people did nothing on stopping the abandonment of net neutrality, is because it was an executive order from the executive branch. Do these protestors really think their going to magically change the minds of government? Please, it doesn't do shitucky. Which is why, this new petition aint gonna do shitucky either. You watch, this will be yet another executive order going through to make the internet even more worse then it already is.

The same exact way that the executive branch has used private contractors to illegally cause the USA post office system to crash to a hault, by stealing and destroying sorting machines. Wake up and smell the roses people, your living in a dictatorship, and your dictator leader, the golden haired buffoon. Welcome to your new world order. You voted him in, now life is the most crappiest it has ever been, since the 1930's depression, caused by the economic crash of 1929.

And your children's future? What future? They have no future in this new world. Homelessness is the future of most families today, thousands upon thousands have lost their homes, jobs, have 0 income. And their children are gonna grow up just as poor as well. Even before the economic collapse, children couldn't make enough money on flippiing burgers to afford an apartment. Now, they have no guarantee of even getting a job once their 16 and up.

The USA is so freaking fooooked, that it would take a miracle to save it at this point. Cause like the sinking ship of the Titanic, its going down. Will there be any saving it? Who knows. But America, its all up to you. Your a democratic republic, why don't you act like one.

The intentional sabotage of the USPS is noteworthy and well documented, both the efforts and the reasons.

But let us step back a moment and examine why and how Trump got elected by the people, the voters.
Let's ignore Russian meddling, for the moment.

I have been following some statistics on the shift on how people politically identify. And the "independent" group is growing in massive numbers.
People are tired and have been tired for a long time, of the Politicization of topics and the partisanship that wrecks bills and keeps Congress stagnant.

They are fed up with partisan quarreling, where each party will sabotage normal bills or inject absurdities into them to prevent the Other Party for getting credit, rather than working together for the good of the nation.
They are fed up with both parties going to extremes, while calling the other party the extremist group.
They are fed up with problems going ignored, year after year, as each party disagrees on just about everything about that problem based on which party says what, instead of on the merits of the topic.
They are fed up with bills stalling out instead of congress passing the portions they DO agree on and hammering out the details of what they disagree on later.

So, Trump comes along and is Not a Politician, Speaks in a way that implies that he speaks his mind, political correctness notwithstanding and... He promised to "Drain the swamp."

This was before the massive corruption, gerrymandering and purges. So yes, that appealed to a LOT of people. He spoke of holding politicians accountable. He spoke in terms some people found to be "common sense."
While it is true that he has upheld none of that, makes nothing but excuses and is all words with totally different actions... In fact, he filled the swamp with his own swamp monsters... He was elected by a process that shows we as a nation are Fed Up. And Trump failed to be what those voters believed him to be.

Trump is more concerned about protecting the words he spoke in ignorance about Covid-19 than he is about protecting American Lives.
Now, we know. And many of the hopeful supporters have left not only Trumps side, but the Republican party, as well. But they do not go to the other party either, because it seems just as bad. They call themselves, Independent. Myself now included. (Note, I never supported Trump. Saw right through him from day one. Gingrich Puppet.)
Yes, some die-hard supporters that will never willingly accept that their years long support for him was wrong will make every excuse, join in every delusion to protect that image. But most people pay attention and wear masks. Those you call out are a minority and that minority is shrinking.
Do not fear Trekker, we are not so stupid. Fed up, misled, mistaken- we are many things as a nation. But this nation is full of Good People, too. Smart People that objectively view evidence. Caring people that strive to protect us and Courageous people that won't let a little risk stop them from doing what is Right.
