Some nice wallpapers here too!

I have never played the game myself but it is a genre I could easily fall into - then I would not be here!

Bit like james@war and Halo3!

For those who did play Elite, play it again with vastly improved graphics via Wine or Linux version as Oolite. It's free:

Lots of add ons & upgrades available too.

Been playing for weeks & back to Deadly status. Not bad for 30+ years later 8-)

Thanks for the Linux link to Frontier - it is not a game I got into - I once went on line with Home World and some 'person' stole my callsign whilst I was playing so online gaming has always been a 'put-off'!

Oolite is an updated graphics to the original Elite. The game itself is exactly the same. Trade planet to planet & spending profit to upgrade your ship. Take on pirates & smugglers for their bounty. All great fun but not an online game.
