Both from above worth to have it in my bookmarks. Interfacelift i know for many years.
Nowdays, i've found 3 new sources that are nice and have HD wallpapers.

1st. http://desktopography.net/ - i think there isn't a better site than this when we talk about digital art.
2nd. https://www.flickr.com/groups/wallpapers/pool/ - this is a group from famous Flickr photo sharing site.
3rd. http://www.uhdwallpapers.org/ - this one is some kind of a blog, but the wallpapers featured are at 4K standard most of them and are great.

Well, what do you think? :)

for me i use wallpapers from this website http://www.wallpaperty.com it is really a good one you can find all kinds of wallpapers for all resolutions and kinds of devices
enjoy :D

Nice wallpapers BUT ... copyrighted! Users are advised to use such sites as freedesktop.org or gnome-look.org or other sites which clearly state they have a section of images that have GPL licencing! :D

I think their answer to coyright provides the answer in their Terms of Service:
