I am trying to install Zorin OS 12 Ultimate 64 bit (.iso). But when I try to verify the checksum it does not match that on the installation page. It should be 7babeb234b2aef9ec1815747d85a971a3e4f277c2ad40bba249362d93f16a3fb But I am getting 21C96347CDBACF5D0611F3173CCD9B3653D2C0A7C40E4C6DA34094D0460E33F5
I am using as directed SHA256. I have tried using SHA-1 and SHA512 but again results do not match as per the website.
I have tried downloading the file twice but I get the same result.
I have been running Zorin Core 64 bit now for about 4 months and I am very happy with it so I would like to upgrade to Zorin Ultimate 64 bit.
Can someone please help.
Regards.

Thats interesting, someone else came in here requesting help for the same thing and I think their checksum was similar if not identical to yours. I am wondering if the Zorin team uploaded a new installer archive and neglected to update the checksum on the site? OK, if you are using Quick Hash as Zorin instructed, and you used the SHA256 as instructed and are getting a different checksum. But the checksum stays the same after the second time you downloaded, I would actually at this point say go with it and see how it goes.

Will you be using a DVD or a USB flash drive? If using a flash drive, just use Etcher as Zorin instructs. But make sure you extract the archive first with the password that Zorin gives you in email, then the extracted ISO is what you either burn onto DVD or, using Etcher to place on USB. Let us know if we can be of further help. And if your really worried about the checksum difference, then you can always contact Zorin customer support using your registrations number for premium support.

Thanks for your quick response to my problem. I will try and install using USB flash drive and see what happens, fingers crossed.

Hi Tom!
The listed checksum on our installation guide (7babeb234b2aef9ec1815747d85a971a3e4f277c2ad40bba249362d93f16a3fb) is for the enclosed .iso file.

It appears that you are checking the checksum of the .7z file. The checksum you have gotten (21C96347CDBACF5D0611F3173CCD9B3653D2C0A7C40E4C6DA34094D0460E33F5) is the correct one for the .7z file, which means that your download file is not corrupted and you can continue to install your copy of Zorin OS using it.

Oops. I feel a bit silly for such a basic error. Zorin 12 Ultimate is up and running, perfect.
Many thanks for your support.
