I am trying to install is 5lite, but after the loading screen I am getting a backgroun i dont know how to finish the install, and get to the home screend that has white u,s,and the live@live:~$. It is a XP home, but was a me.

Hi,

did you first run the cd in live mode to see if it runs on your PC??.

Try booting in vesa mode and see if that helps, don't select install but run!!.

No, I do not know how to lanch a cd in live mode on a xp.

Hi,

when you switch on your PC, you insert the disk and then once the PC has booted from the CD; (this is assuming that your PC is set to boot from a CD/DVD which you can set in the BIOS options of your PC) you will have a menu which says that you can run the "Live CD" or boot in safe mode or install it directly.

Do not attempt to install without first making sure that the CD/DVD does run on your PC!!.
