Also, when it comes to notebooks it is a whole different ball game with "I can't get my buttons for brightness/volume to work!" The caveat generally is to look at reviews. Whilst derivatives of some might be avoidable at all costs he failed to mention Debian. If we are looking at comparisons, then Zorin 15 has failed me when it comes to SoundBlaster Card - I can only use ALSA which means no YouTube or Netflix video will play with sound. FerenOS and Makulu Lindoz 15 both play sound happily with no issues. Further still MX-Linux works in live mode as it only uses ALSA - and not only does the SoundBlaster work, I could also watch YouTube and Netflix with sound! So don't knock the article too much!
