I have an old tower-case Dell, Vostro410, which currently runs 32-bit Windows7 on the internal drive.
It's ten years old (so is the hard drive); Intel core2Duo E8400; 4GB RAM; 3.25GHz.
The system is a 32-bit; however I'm currently running a 64-bit Zorin Core 12.4 on a Toshiba 1Tb
external drive attached. It doesnt seem to have any problems; my printer and scanner work (both Canon) and
in fact the whole Zorin OS seems pleasant and easy to use, despite my having very little Linux knowledge.
As you know, Windows 7 goes out of support next year (2020) and I'd like soon to put Zorin on my main hard drive. I don't
want to go to Windows 10 or fork out for new hardware.
But, 32 or 64 bit Zorin? It would be good to get a few more years' use out of the hardware, there's nothing really wrong with it.
I've read some articles on 32/64 choice but still can't decide what's technically right for this computer.
