First and foremost, I've had the pleasure of trying Zorin OS 15 Core via live CD, and I'm very impressed. This comes from an end user whose been using various versions of another linux live OS for almost a decade and ready for something new.
Before I install, my questions are:
1) I've read the help documents on installing Windows games; is it possible to download Lutris and its game-specific scripts and install them offline? I'd like to play a game I own a physical copy of that's been independently verified by its fanbase to work offline. The game doesn't require an internet connection.
2) will the installer "play nice" with my partitioned hard drive, which is currently partitioned /sda1 and /sda5? I intend to install Zorin on /sda1, which is empty and use /sda5 for storage. I'm fine with reformatting /sda1 to a different type of file system.
In response to the questions in "The info we need to help YOU!":
1. Dell Optiplex 380 desktop, purchased secondhand;
2. 3851 MB RAM;
3. Would be using Zorin along with another Linux distribution. I boot the other distribution from a live CD and have my BIOS set to boot from the optical drive first if a bootable disc is present;
4. One hard drive, /sda1 and /sda5;
5. Intel integrated graphics; ( :( )
6. Intel integrated sound;
7. No wireless card; integrated Broadcom Gigabit Ethernet;
8. Yes the Zorin OS live DVD seemed to work excellently;
9. Zorin OS 15 Core 64-bit.
