Hi,

I am looking for help to install Samba to connect to our Win10 LAN.

I have downloaded Samba but just noticed all the negative reviews for it.

Is there another way to set up a connection with our Win 10 LAN ?

Thank you

I have tried this to install samba but alas no..

I have also searched in the GUI but can't see where to install the samba pak.

david@david-HP-Compaq-6000-Pro-MT-PC:/opt/lampp/htdocs$ sudo apt install samba samba-common-bin

[sudo] password for david:
E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to acquire the dpkg frontend lock (/var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend), is another process using it?

Thanks. Will check it out tomorrow.

In the meantime installed LANSHARE.

Wow it is easy, fast and very automatic. Took files for a Win 10 PC on LAN to Zorin.
