Trouble upgrading to Ultimate

I am a newbie to Zorin and having successfully loaded Zorin Core to my MacBook Air decided to upgrade to Ultimate.
I have tried following the online guide but am finding that the bootable software will only download onto my HDD it ignores my USB and if I manually copy it across the only option on start up is to select HDD. Presumably that means the bootable command on HDD 'trumps' everything else?

A lot will depend on size of USB as it might be thinking it needs to expand at some point and if not enough space ... (pure guesswork on my part). Will be back later.
