Wine Gecko

I'm pretty new to Linux, tried Ubuntu, Mint and now Zorin.

Problem I have is the Wine Gecko install, keeps failing on me especially when trying to install windows drivers for my Epson XP-900 printer.

Have tried cups and the manual add prinret with no luck.

Anybody know how to resolve this especially for somebody with little coding experience.

Thankyou

Mark

Would suggest you install the printer drivers for Linux instead of trying to do it with WINE.

For the wine Gecko install, you should remove all of WINE you currently have installed, first. Then do a full install of Wine with dependencies from the repo:

One of the first things I did when I switched to Linux OS's from M$ was seek out and install Wine4 (at that time). What I learned was, I never really needed it.
Some users do need WINE if they have a very specific piece of software for Windows only. But most people really don't... They just believe they will need it.
I no longer use or install WINE on any of my machines.
