[SOLVED] Dual Boot Setup with Two Hard Drives

I need help setting up a dual boot system. I already have Windows 7 installed on my hard drive and I do not wish to partition this drive to install Zorin OS. Instead, I would like to setup Zorin OS on a second hard drive on my computer. What steps do I need to take to set this up so that I can choose between Windows 7 and Zorin?

Hi JJ,

you need to point the installer to the drive you want to use or it will automatically suggest "sda" which is your main drive, "sdb" should be your second drive, if you want to install onto another drive then you should do a manual install choosing your hard drive and partitions and mount points!!. You should still use the MBR for the bootloader!!.

If you need some help about partitioning, please go here:
