Cloning to an SSD

I was able to clone Zorin to a SSD but the cloning software (Acronis) wants me to run a loader after the cloning is completed to make the SSD bootable. Is there any detailed instructions around that I could grab to do this. By the way believe it or not this is my first experience with Linux as in the past as an electrical engineer my company used VMS then MS Windows. I'm installing Zorin on one of my home PC's so that I can use some linux based software.
