Reinstall Zorin OS

I am a relative newcomer to Zorin OS and I like it very much. I currently have it running alongside Windows 7. Actually, I should have said that I "had" it running as I kiiled it by doing and upgrade rather than and update. The upgrade upgraded me to Ubuntu and now Zorin is gone. Is there any way to reinstall Zorin easily without having to do a complete reinstallation from the DVD?

Hi,

sadly; unless you can remember every single package name that was updated; the answer is NO!, you will have to re-install, you could try only formatting your root partition and just mount the /home, it may be a quick fix!!.

I went ahead and backed up all of my data and did a fresh install. All is back to normal and I did not lose anything important.
