Upgrading Zorin 5.2 to Zorin 6 core ?

Is it possible to just upgrade so that you can retain files, folders and Browser settings or do you have to a clean install? I was reading in here that had me thinking that this could be done but I haven't found a way during any of the install menus that it would detect the 5.2 and ask me to upgrade to 6 core. Thanks.

Hi,

if you want to take a risk and install Zorin 6 without formatting your home folder, it may or may not cause a problem or two, you can only try it out, backup all your data just in case and when you install, at the point where the installer asks you where you want to install, select "Something" else and select the partitions that you already have, format the new root partition but don't format the old home and it will keep your files intact!!.
