Hi,

I'm going to take the plunge and attempt to multiboot Zorin alongside the Windows 8 installation that this Dell XPS One 27 came with.

I have failed at the first hurdle, as the Zorin installer is not showing any partitions in /dev/sda ?

What do I do now.. any hints appreciated.

EDIT:

Code:
root@live:~# fdisk /dev/sda

WARNING: GPT (GUID Partition Table) detected on '/dev/sda'! The util fdisk doesn't support GPT. Use GNU Parted.

The device presents a logical sector size that is smaller than
the physical sector size. Aligning to a physical sector (or optimal
I/O) size boundary is recommended, or performance may be impacted.

Hmm. Not convinced that secure boot is the issue. After all, I have disabled secure boot in the system BIOS in order to boot the ZorinOS install CD. Now that the CD is booted however, the installer is not listing my disk partitions... ?

The safest way that I've found at the moment, without any >> (Migraines) . >>> Would be to use something like that of VmWare Workstation 9 on your Win8 machine. After running Win8 for a short time, I began to find the good sides of Windows 8, and one of them is running a virtual machine > VmWare ect. Running a Virtual Machine on Win8 is like paradise compared to dual booting. And I can't even begin to describe.... how fast....how virtual realistic Zorin OS works inside Win8 compared to the old days!!
