i have heard the wifi can be a problem is there a way i can setup wifi on zorin os 7 without wired internet access or internet in general i dont have wired internet access and i dont want to get into a contract with cable internet

Have you tried zorin7 on a live usb stick or live DVD? Maybe your wireless card will be automatically picked-up without you having to do anything.
Otherwise, if you load the live session of Zorin7 and your wireless is not working, open terminal and post back the results of the following commands in order to see the ID of your wireless card and if it can be set up without internet access.
lspci -nn | grep 0280
lsusb
sudo lshw -c network
sudo rfkill list all

After installing 6.4 needed 186MB worth of updates wifi kept failing, plugged in my 4G netzero stick (it saw it as wired ethernet not mobile device) downloaded quickly. No contract needed with netzero if they serve your area.
