[SOLVED] Trouble Booting OS 7 On New Build

I am new to building PC's and I just built my first one. I have all the hardware installed and the BIOS is recognizing the disc drive (DVD/CD) and the HDD. I have made a burned copy of the Zorin OS from the recommended sources. I also selected the disc drive as the priority #1 boot. When I insert the disc in the drive and restart, I keep getting this message, "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key"

I have burned multiple copies of the os at the slowest speed (x2) and it still does not work. I am wondering, as I am coming from Mac, and doing all of the burning with a Mac, would that affect the computer's ability to read the disc?

I am open to any and all help. This has been quite frustrating.

Thanks for your replies! I figured out the problem: I didn't create a bootable disk when I burned the os onto the DVD. I went back and created a new disc and it installed perfectly.
