Hello,
I have Installed windows 8 in my HP laptop. When trying to install Zorin 8 it dont detect the current os Installed. It also not detecting my current partitions. When I try to install it shows the whole hard drive as one partition and ask me to partition it.
I am wondering why it is not detecting my partitions and Windows 8??

OK, well first off, can you turn off 'quick boot' as shown, then disable UEFI and enable 'Legacy Mode' in the BIOS? The other issue is that HP tend to ship with Hard drives configured with 4 partitions - all primary and include: Recovery partition, Recovery media creator Partition, Instant Boot without booting OS (Firefox and Pictures and Music), and System. This is probably also adding to the issues.

To boot in legacy mode, I think you need to press F12 for a gigabyte BIOS for example to choose the "boot menu" and you can boot from your CD DVD either in UEFI or normal/legacy

Might help, dunno
