Installing but not replacing

I am attempting to instal Zorin and overwrite/replace Windows XP. I go through the installation process, choosing to replace the current OS, that being XP, and get to the end where it has you reboot your computer to complete installation. When the computer reboots, it goes to the XP that Zorin was supposed to replace.

I have attempted to remove XP but it's uninstall file is not present.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

preformat your hard drive (after backing up your data!), see this partitioning guide and use the onboard Gparted tool (Zorin Menu > System Tools > Administration > Gparted Partition editor) in your Zorin OS disk!:

Hope it helps. :D
