(SOLVED) Zorin 8 and Virtualbox issues

I'm trying to install Zorin 8 in Virtualbox but cannot get it to install. When I click start it boots to the CD that has the Zorin 8 iso then I can tab down to the install prompt but then it just freezes. I have followed the how to's but still have no luck. I am uploading a pic of where it freezes. Any help is appreciated.

Not tried to install to virtual machine, but have you tried booting to live desktop and running the 'install to HD' icon? :D

are you using a disk or USB to install?.

How much ram have you devoted to the guest system?
Also, how many mb of GPU?

I am using a disk that I used to install it on my sisters computer last weekend so I know it's a good disk. I have devoted 512 ram and 8 GB to the SATA controller.

I think 512 ram for zorin 8 is too low. Give at least 1gb or more (if you can spare it of course).
Otherwise better try installing via VB Zorin lite.

Also, I was asking about your GPU (graphics card) and how many mb you have devoted to the guest system. (128?, 256?)

Oh sorry the GPU is 12 MB. I will try to bump the ram and see what happens.

Giving 1 GB ram didn't help either. I will download the lite and give it a try.

The lite version isn't working either. Is it not possible to install Zorin to a VM?

Just tried Zorin8 in VB. I gave it 1gb ram, and 10GB of HDD space. 12mb of GPU and I have not even enabled 3d/2d acceleration. It loaded just fine. See the pic.
My laptop at work has an i3 processor and 4gb of ram and win7. I have the latest version of VB (4.3.10) installed.

I didn't have the most current version of Virtualbox. As soon as I updated it Zorin installed. Thanks for your help!

So, I am having the same problem here. However, I do have the latest version of VirtualBox, and the same specs as what has been suggested by "madvinegar". I am using an ISO image instead of an actual disk. Any help?
