I downloaded the os and burned to a dvd. Tried to boot it on my old XT machine (Compac Presario circa 2002) Got the first boot page, selected boot and it just went to nowhere, the screen blanked and then nothing. Any suggestions?

Hi and welcome to Zorin!

OK, first thing is first. Because it is an old machine, I would be tempted to go for LIte instead but wait until Zorin 9 Lite arrives. I think the most likely culprit will be the graphics.

Do you get to see a menu choice at all when booting from the DVD?
