Can't login

I've downloaded 64-bit core, checked md5 (which was OK) and installed zorin 8.1 on my hdd - dual boot with windows 7.
During the installation process I noticed that the live version would not allow me to login most of the times although it did once or twice.
After installing the OS I tried to login but I couldn't. I tried to login with the administrator account and the guest account.
I just couldn't. I only managed to login when I used 'advanced options' and 'recovery mode'. I created a standard account also but the result was the same.
I don't get it. What could be wrong?

Hi,

did you try resetting your user password?:

You can also try running "DPKG" per this guide:

There is no need to reset the password. I remember the correct passwords for both accounts.
The problem is that I can't login even with the guest account.
I tried using dpkg and updating but nothing got better.
I'm uninstalling...

Did you check if you had Caps Lock on? Currently I am running a different distro - rebooting solved my issue! :D

Of course...
But as I already said, even the guest account wouldn't work...

The system I am using has two accounts and I could not log in to either (another 'buntu based distro) and I also knew both were correct (no guest account running) and had same issue - rebooted and could logiin to either account that previously warned 'incorrect password' on both accounts! :D

Hi,

did you do a disk install and follow this advice?:

http://www.zoringroup.com/forum/viewtop ... f=5&t=4771

For USB install using Unetbootin:
