Hi, if this is Zorin 9 then just give it a try. When you see the blue screen launch showing keyboard and accessibility icon bottom middle of screen, press space bar - you will see language selection highlighted - leave this as English as I don't know if other languages are present in .iso - then go to keymap - this is set to US - I used the up arrow to select 'UK' to match my keyboard layout. Then press F6 and select 'ACPI=Off' then press the enter key twice to

A. confirm selection of 'acpi=off'

B. Start live session of Zorin 9 - be warned you get a glowing Z for quite some time, then a black screen for quite some time, then a mouse pointer, then the desktop! :D

This laptop is a beast!
Let me know how did it go with zorin on this laptop as I am planning to buy a similar asus (n-series) myself.

Probably you will need to install "bumblebee" as you have a hybrid GPU (intel+Nvidia).

I'm planning to install with DUAL BOOT. The dual graphics issue is boring me but anyway bumblebee is not a healthy solution for now, maybe in the future we will be able to use better solutions than "Wine" and "bumblebee"

"Security" is the reason for me to get in to Linux world and zorin os is one of the best distribution after 14 years of Windows usage.

Well, if dual-booting, take a look at the YouTube link I posted here:

I am now making a third attempt at uploading Part A of my video (installing 9 alongside Windows 7 - be some time before I get to do 8 - and I don't have the issue of (U)EFI to worry about! :D
